COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Position Overview
HTA 75 is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator. Reporting to the Outreach Manager, this role collaborates with the management team to develop and executes outreach campaigns, events, and initiatives to recruit new clients for programs and services and build awareness of the organization in the communities served.
To be successful, the candidate will be required to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community-driven. A positive attitude is essential to be successful of this role. Additionally, the candidate will need to consistently demonstrate the ability to work both independently and within a team and actively take initiative when met with challenges.
The candidate must also possess considerable understanding of current equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging practices and proactively build a strong practice of caring in all outreach activities.
What can you expect to do in this role?
Outreach Activities – 70% of the role
Conduct effective, professional outreach that meets the needs of HTA programs and services including digital engagement, one-to-one phone and in-person engagement, external events, and community canvassing.
Develop and maintain an annual outreach plan, which centres on communicating and marketing HTA 75 programs, activities, and events.
Co-develop marketing and outreach products in collaboration with the Communications Manager including brochures, print ads, e-newsletters, and other marketing materials for outreach campaigns, events, and initiatives.
Program Support – 20% of the role
Help support outreach, stakeholder management, and project implementation.
Track and share regular progress updates on program deliverables and outcomes.
Organization Support – 10% of the role
Maintained HTA 75 centralized database by collecting and analyzing data from services, programs, education, and outreach activities.
Prepare summary reports for each activity and also quarterly and annual reports required by senior management for reporting, planning, and grants.
Qualifications
Experience
Professional experience in communications, marketing, business, preferably in the hospitality industry
Preferred experience of 3-5 years within non-profit and outreach activities.
Preferred experience within a unionized environment.
Strong experience preparing reports.
Skills and Knowledge
Bilingual, fluency in English and French
Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.
Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.
Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Strong proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Other Requirements
Able to work weekends and evenings when required
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision and direction.

Important Information
Job Term: Full-time, contract (ending March 31, 2023), with the possibility of extension
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 (pro-rated for the duration of the contract)
Location Requirement: Ottawa – 1 position
This is a hybrid position: virtual and in-person as required
