SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Lead Generation Specialist plays a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and nurturing sales opportunities for AMBICO. This individual will mine databases and other resources to uncover potential construction projects, key architects, and stakeholders that align with the company’s product offerings in Specialty Door Assemblies – acoustics, safety and security and climate resilience within key institutional, civil and industrial verticals.
Reporting directly to the VP Business Development, this position collaborates closely with the company’s network of manufacturer representatives in Canada and the United States, as well as internal marketing and inside sales teams, to ensure a steady flow of actionable leads and market intelligence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze databases and lead generation tools to uncover active construction projects where the company's products are specified. Review project specifications where the company is named and share with representatives to ensure local customers are quoting on jobs.
- Analyze provincial and state budgets for active construction projects where the company's products are a good fit
- Develop tools to mine key announcements of new projects by verticals including but not limited to education, public safety, military, healthcare, government offices, data centers, manufacturing firms, and civil projects
- Identify key architects, designers, and stakeholders working on these projects.
- Evaluate competitor-specified projects and work on equivalency strategies to position the company’s products.
- Track project progression to maintain proactive engagement with stakeholders.
- Provide insights and opportunities to sales teams and manufacturer representatives to maximize engagement. Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities that align with the company’s long-term growth strategies.
- Identify project specifications where the company’s product is equivalent but has not been included.
- Identify potential projects in the early stages where the company’s products are relevant.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns for architects and firms involved in active projects. Support marketing efforts to enhance visibility and preference for the company’s products.
- Assist in developing a list of target architects for "Lunch and Learn" sessions and American Institute of Architects (AIA) continuous education units (CEU) credit presentations. Track and evaluate responses for improvements and other engagement initiatives.
- Provide regular reports to management on identified opportunities, competitive insights, and progress on active projects.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in cross-functional roles and departments for related projects.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
College diploma in business, marketing or a related field and some demonstrated experience in business development, construction industry, architectural sales and/or lead generation functions or an equivalent knowledge and experience
· Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
· Experience analyzing and preparing reports for management
· Experience in researching business opportunities to analyze and identify potential sales opportunities
· Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
· Knowledge of market research techniques and engagement.
· Knowledge of AIA continuing education and related programs is an asset.
· Proficiency with CRM tools and lead mining databases (e.g., Dodge Data & Analytics, ConstructConnect, or similar platforms).

WORK CONDITIONS:
This position requires:
· Extensive computer use and may involve long periods of sitting.

· Significant relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
· This position may be hybrid from Ottawa, Ontario.
