Join Our Team as a Full-Time General Labourer in Ottawa, ON!
Your Mission:
As a General Labourer at Convertus, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of our facility and equipment. You will also support our maintenance team and act as a backup for loader operators as needed.
Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:
- Keep it Clean: Ensure the facility, equipment, and floors are spotless. Keep the exterior tidy and free of debris.
- Team Support: Assist the maintenance crew with various tasks and operate pressure wash equipment.
- Stay Safe: Remove snow and ice from walkways, ramps, and main doors, and enforce safety requirements.
- Routine Checks: Perform maintenance checks, change water in humidity tubes, and report any incidents or defects.
- Hands-On Work: Paint the interior and exterior, and load haulage vehicles and equipment with loose waste.
- Show Company Pride: Maintain equipment to high standards and embody our company values in all interactions.
This job is for you if you:
- Have at least 6 months of experience as a general labourer in a similar industry.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and basic computer skills.
- Have experience or certification in loader or skid steer operation (an asset).
- Pay great attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Can work independently and handle difficult conditions.
- Have good written, verbal, and reporting skills.
- Are willing to be fitted for a respirator and can work different shifts as required.
- Can lift up to 50 pounds.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
Compensation package:
- Hourly Wage: $22.50
