Northern Lights Educational Services is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable cleaner to join our team.
Position: Cleaner
Location: 335 Michael Cowpland Drive, K2M 2C5 Kanata
Hours: 11 hours per week (part-time) Wage: $20 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness throughout the community center.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring a high standard of hygiene.
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling, adhering to waste management guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, such as meeting rooms, hallways, and reception areas.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up after community events, meetings, and activities.
- Monitor and replenish supplies, such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
- Report any maintenance issues or cleaning supply needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns from community members with courtesy and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning standards.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
- Strong communication skills to interact with community members and fellow staff members effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
