Community Employment Resource Centre (CERC) is a not-for-profit community-based organization with over 30 years of experience in providing high quality employment services to the Ottawa community. CERC is a service of the John Howard Society of Ottawa. This Employment Ontario program is funded in part by the Government of Canada.

CERC serves all Ontario residents who are looking for employment and training, as well as Ontario employers who are seeking candidates to fill their open positions.
Areas of Service
Our employment resource centre services are focused on Ottawa West, covering Bells Corners, Kanata, Stittsville, West Carleton and rural Ottawa West.

When are you open?
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- If you are stopping by or reaching out outside of these business hours please email us at info@cercottawa.ca. We will reach out as soon as we can and within 24 hours.
Where are you located?
415 Hazeldean Road, right beside the Dairy Queen.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes. Please call 613-828-2123 or email info@cercottawa.ca.
Will you get me a job?
We will work with you to make sure that you have an effective resume in order to secure an interview. We also help you develop your interviewing skills and provide you with other job searching assistance. We are not a temporary employment agency.
What age range do you serve?
All ages – everyone is welcome to use our Resource Room which contains labour market information, community and educational resources as well as assistance from our staff.
What buses go there?
The 88, 161, 164. Hazeldean Mall is right across the street from us with access to plenty of public transportation.
